Born in Seattle, Washington, I moved at an early age to San Diego, California where I still reside (and consider myself a nearly-native) with my wife and our growing family. My teen years were spent backpacking through California's Sierra Nevada Mountains climbing more than a dozen of its highest peaks. For a time I was heavily into skateboarding, traveling to many of Southern California's skate parks and pools. Though I don't ride like I used to, I'm a "skateboarder for life." Known in many pop culture fandoms as the artist, "Ratscape," I've had a life-long, nerd-level interest in all things pop culture – movies, TV, music, comic books, etc. The popular arts are a major influence and inspiration in my creative thinking.
As a senior-level creative with over 30 years of ad agency and design studio expertise, I have a broad range of experience in brand development for a wide range of clients. Whether it be through art direction, graphic design or illustration, I am passionate about creating effective marketing solutions and pride myself in being very conscientious with budgets and deadlines.
