Surveys taken in the San Diego North County area found, when it came to choosing healthcare, patients felt that the latest medical technology came second to a trusted physician and hospital in importance. Advertising and marketing campaigns were created to raise awareness of Palomar Health's elevated level of care. An employee campaign, along with a bimonthly employee magazine, helped to reinforce the organization's culture of caring internally.
